Bosch Rexroth Africa would like to announce the retirement of one of its stalwarts. Bosch Rexroth Group of Companies, Group Chief Operating Officer, Mike Harrison, will retire at the end of the year. His retirement marks the end of a remarkable career spanning 34 years.
Mike Harrison's journey with Bosch Rexroth Africa began in 1990, when he took the position of Regional Finance Manager at Hytec South Africa in KwaZulu-Natal. Over the decades, his tenacity and strong leadership saw him rise through the Group’s ranks, leading to key roles such as Regional Director as well as Commercial Director at Hytec South Africa.
Harrison’s people-orientated management style has been instrumental in driving the Group’s successful expansion across Africa, reinforcing the Group’s People and Culture pillar of our business strategy. “I have always placed people at the centre of the business. If you motivate, challenge, and inspire people you work with, they will succeed beyond your wildest dreams,” he states.
Group Chief Executive Officer, Chris Riley, reflects on Harrison’s career, saying, “His dedication and hard work have played a significant role in the success of Bosch Rexroth Africa. We will miss him greatly. We want to thank him for his outstanding contributions and strong leadership through the years.”
As Harrison looks back on his career, he hopes his legacy will inspire others to think beyond immediate goals. "I hope to be remembered as a person who was not perfect but who took due diligence through good and challenging times with care," Harrison shares.
The Group wishes Harrison the best in this retirement.
