Date: 21-23 October 2025

Location: Cape Town

Windaba 2025, returning to the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 21 to 23 October, taking an action-oriented approach under the theme: “Break the Gridlock! Wire for Growth!” – a rallying call to accelerate implementation and unlock wind investment opportunities. Hosted by the South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA), the 14th annual conference will convene policymakers, industry leaders, global partners, and civil society to drive practical solutions that unlock wind investment, expand grid capacity, support industrialisation, and strengthen South Africa’s energy security – with wind energy at the centre.

Windaba is an African-owned and managed Conference and Exhibition for Wind Energy stakeholders who are active on the continent. It enables public and private sectors to share expertise. Windaba brings together key stakeholders, including professionals, policymakers, academics, government representatives, and civil society. The 14th annual event is the flagship event of the South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA), supported by the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).

Stepping away from the traditional focus on turbines and megawatts, Windaba will take a holistic view of wind—showcasing the impact, innovations, and influence that wind energy is having in Africa and beyond.
