Compact, powerful, and green - meet the Jekko MPK10 from SkyJacks
This article has been supplied.
SkyJacks, a leader in access, lifting and material handling solutions with over 45 years of expertise, had recently introduced Jekko's MPK10 Mini Picker to the Southern African market. As the exclusive distributor of Jekko products in the region, SkyJacks is bringing a compact, highly versatile, and environmentally friendly electric mini-picker that is set to redefine lifting capabilities across multiple industries.
Versatile applications in confined spaces
Designed for versatile lifting operations, the Jekko MPK10 excels in confined spaces and indoor applications. With a lifting capacity of 990 kg and full compliance with EN13000 regulations, it is ideal for industries such as construction, manufacturing, engineering, mining, and logistics. The MPK10's compact dimensions—2.15 meters in length and 1.49 meters in height—and lightweight design of 1,045 kg ensure easy transport and exceptional manoeuvrability. Its pick-and-carry capability allows it to move continuously with a suspended load, making it highly efficient for dynamic work environments.
Keith Freel, Sales Manager at SkyJacks, emphasises the significance of this addition to the market: "The Jekko MPK10 is a game-changer for Southern African industries. Its compact design and advanced features make it highly adaptable to confined spaces, while its zero-emission electric operation aligns with the growing demand for sustainable solutions. We believe this latest addition to our range of cranes will greatly benefit our clients, underscoring our dedication to providing dependable and efficient lifting solutions."
Key features and advantages
One of the standout advantages of the MPK10 is its fully electric operation, ensuring zero emissions and making it ideal for indoor environments or projects that prioritise sustainability. It can be equipped with a manipulator featuring suction cups for handling delicate materials such as glass, or it can function in hook mode for general lifting tasks. Additionally, its main column can rotate 9° on each side, further enhancing its adaptability in various industrial applications.
Unlike other models in the Jekko range, such as the SPX328 and SPX352, the MPK10 is specifically engineered for pick-and-carry operations without the need for outriggers. While the SPX models offer greater lifting capacities and telescopic booms, the MPK10 prioritises compactness and manoeuvrability, making it particularly well-suited for indoor environments and tight workspaces.
Its suitability for the South African market is further reinforced by features such as a remote radio control for precision operation, a small footprint for navigating narrow passages, and a reduced weight that allows for easy loading onto trailers for transport between job sites. These attributes make it an asset for urban construction sites, factory floors, and warehouses where space is limited.
Freel further highlighted the crane’s potential impact on key industries: "Industries such as construction, mining, and logistics will benefit greatly from the MPK10’s ability to operate efficiently in tight spaces while maintaining high performance. It’s a versatile solution that addresses both operational challenges and sustainability goals."
Proven quality and reliable support
Jekko's reputation for reliability and robust build quality ensures the MPK10 is a dependable choice for demanding applications. SkyJacks also backs the MPK10 with comprehensive after-sales support, including maintenance services, spare parts availability, technical assistance, and accredited operator training programmes. This ensures customers maximise the crane’s performance, longevity, and safety in demanding work environments.
The Jekko MPK10 is not just a lifting solution—it is a strategic investment for businesses looking to optimise efficiency, reduce emissions, and improve safety in material handling. With this launch, SkyJacks reaffirms its position as a trusted partner in delivering innovative lifting equipment across Southern Africa.
