Project Owner/s
Tosyalı-SULB, a joint venture between Tosyalı and Libya United Steel Company for Iron and Steel Industry (SULB).

Project Description
Green steel producer Tosyalı and SULB signed an agreement in July to build the world’s biggest DRI complex.

The plant will supply the hot bricket iron demands of the nearby region and Europe for green steel. The low-carbon emissions facility will produce high-standard and -quality green steel products using advanced technology, innovation, and research and development in the integrated facility.

The complex will have a capacity of 8.1-million tons, be equipped with MIDREX Flexi DRI technology and will operate using hydrogen as a clean energy source.

The project will be completed in three phases.

The first phase of the integrated iron and steel complex will have a capacity of 2.7-million tons.
