Drill rig to assist in remedying challenge in mining industry
From Creamer Media in Johannesburg, this is the Real Economy Report.
Sashnee Moodley:
Sustained lower commodity prices and ever-increasing costs are ‘squeezing’ mining margins and threaten the industry’s survival. Therefore, mining machinery manufacturer GST Drilling says that products like the Safe Quality Stoping face advance rig can go a long way towards remedying this challenge. Simone Liedtke tells us more.
Simone Liedtke:
The biggest advantage, GST Drilling enthuses, is that the Safe Quality Stoping (SQS) in-stope face advance drill rig allows for modernisation and optimisation of the actual drilling operation at any shaft- or drill hole underground.
GST Drilling GM, Andre Opperman:
Simone Liedtke:
The SQS face advance drill rig was released in 2016, and also features a wide variety of safety features.
