“Early Bird” registration discount offered for the SAPICS Conference, Africa’s leading event for the supply chain profession

“Early Bird” registration is open for the 2025 SAPICS Conference, Africa’s foremost event for the supply chain profession, which takes place in Cape Town from 8 to 11 June 2025.
Organiser and leading industry body SAPICS has announced that this year’s conference features an exciting addition that makes it a must-attend event for all supply chain practitioners at all levels and for anyone working with the supply chain profession. For the first time, Demand Driven World will be held as part of the annual SAPICS Conference. Demand Driven World is the world’s top convention focused on Demand Driven methods and applications.
“This compelling combination offers SAPICS 2025 attendees a unique opportunity, enabling them to attend two globally recognised events at the same time, in one location,” says SAPICS president Thato Moloi. “Delegates will have the freedom to move between sessions of the SAPICS Conference and Demand Driven World, without any additional registration fees, enabling broader learning opportunities and networking connections,” he explains.
Aiming to ensure that this groundbreaking gathering is accessible for everyone, SAPICS is offering discounted Early Bird registration fees to those who book their places before 28 February 2025.
Now in its 47th successful year, the annual SAPICS Conference has become an increasingly vital gathering for supply chain professionals who must navigate today’s volatile and uncertain environment to ensure that goods and services get to where they are needed when they are needed. More than 750 supply chain managers from 30 countries across Africa and around the world attended the 2024 SAPICS Conference in Cape Town in June 2024.
The 2025 SAPICS Conference theme is “Innovation in Motion”. Moloi outlines the rationale behind it: “This year’s theme reflects the imperative for organisations to innovate and strive for the agility and adaptability needed to rapidly respond to potentially chaotic changes and disruptions in today’s turbulent supply chain landscape. In the face of continuous technological advances, shifting global dynamics and the pursuit of seamless efficiency, customer satisfaction and sustainability, one thing is clear: innovation is a necessity for supply chain managers.”
“These are turbulent times. The 2025 SAPICS Conference and Demand Driven World will equip delegates with everything they need not just to stay afloat, but to thrive,” he stresses.
Commenting on the integration of Demand Driven World with this year’s SAPICS Conference, and the significance for African supply chain professionals, Demand Driven Institute co-founder and partner Chad Smith says: “We are extremely excited for this opportunity with SAPICS. This conference is one of the best of its kind in the world. We will have new case studies on the Demand Driven methodology and the unique format will allow for a cross-pollination to help further drive supply chain innovation.”
