Electric order picker launched
A new stand-on electric-powered order picker designed to combine the advantages of a narrow aisle articulated forklift and a traditional order picker, offers versatile operation in warehousing applications.
The Aisle Master-OP (AME-OP) was developed by Combilift as a response to the rising growth of e-commerce and an increasing demand for order picking of customised orders.
The main feature of the unit is the copyright-protected step-through operator compartment and low floor height of 11”. The design enables single step access from both sides of the truck, which means the operator does not have to get on and off from a seated position, helping to speed up order picking.
The new truck also offers all the key features of the conventional Aisle Master, including indoor/outdoor operation, as well as loading and offloading capabilities for stock replenishment.
The AME-OP is available in a number of versions, with lift capacities of 3 300 lbs to 6 000 lbs, lift heights of up to 39 ft and operation in aisles as narrow as 72”. It features a patented chain steering system which allows the truck to articulate more than 205° and an inline drive motor and front drive axle assembly, enabling narrower aisle operation.
The multifunctional programmable joystick control lever includes controls for the hydraulics and traction and is adjustable to enable comfortable and ergonomic working conditions for operators of all sizes. The Operator Presence Detection floor pad engages the parking brake automatically when the operator steps off the truck to carry out order picking.
Combilift asserts that the development of its new order picker is a major innovation in the warehousing sector, allowing for versatility and multiple applications such as narrow aisle operation, truck to rack handling, bulk picking and item order picking.
