Set to be a transformative event for the food and beverage industry, the Africa Food Show 2025, which will take place on June 10 to 12,  offers a “vibrant platform for networking, collaboration and innovation”, says event organisers dmg events and KAOUN International.

The show will be hosted in Cape Town, South Africa, leveraging the country’s strategic location as a gateway to Africa, with “well-developed infrastructure and trade networks” connecting exhibitors and attendees to neighbouring markets, explains dmg events event manager Margaret Peters.

She adds that South Africa’s diverse and robust agriculture sector further enhances the event’s appeal, providing access to high-quality products ranging from fresh produce and grains to specialty crops, cementing the continent’s position as a leader in global food production.

Africa Food Show 2025 will host an expanded line-up of over 450 exhibitors, up from 250 last year, showcasing a broad spectrum of offerings, from ingredient suppliers, distributors and culinary innovators to beverage companies and meat producers.

Peters notes that these live demonstrations and tastings will highlight culinary creativity and talent, offering attendees an “engaging and sensory experience that allows visitors to embark on a global culinary journey”.

She states that “attendees will travel the world through flavours, making Africa Food Show 2025 a celebration of the diverse and rich food cultures from every corner of the globe”.

Further, the Africa Food Summit, which will be hosted simultaneously, will convene industry leaders, policymakers and innovators to address critical trends and challenges shaping the future of the food and beverage sector.

The discussions will focus on sustainability, with actionable insights into environmentally responsible practices and resource efficiency, as well as the adoption of technologies such as AI-driven analytics and digital engagement tools.

Attendees will also gain insight into the evolving consumer mindset, including their preferences and behaviours.

The summit will “take a deep dive into the most pressing trends and challenges shaping the industry” while equipping attendees with the strategies to remain competitive.

Peters adds that one of the standout features of Africa Food Show 2025 is the Market Access initiative, which is designed to connect local producers with international buyers and investors. By fostering these connections, the programme aims to drive export growth, support economic development and enhance the global presence of African products.

Additionally, tailored matchmaking services will pair exhibitors with buyers and partners based on specific business goals and interests.

“Our personalised matchmaking services are designed to save time, foster meaningful connections and drive impactful business outcomes for all participants,” Peters highlights.

The event will bring together a diverse range of local and international exhibitors, creating a dynamic exchange of knowledge and innovations.

International participants will introduce global perspectives and best practices, while African and local exhibitors will gain exposure to international markets, fostering export opportunities and driving business expansion.

Peters adds that, by significantly enhancing the scope and appeal of the event, dmg events can ensure that Africa Food Show remains a truly global platform for growth and innovation.

Moreover, custom stand builders, such as GL Events, Hott3D, DZines and Ogada Group, will design immersive and engaging exhibition spaces.

These custom stand designs will reflect the “dynamic nature of the food and beverage industry”, providing exhibitors and attendees with a “visually captivating and highly functional” environment to connect and collaborate.

She points out that the Africa Food Show 2025 is not only a showcase of the industry’s “finest” but also a forum for exploring future trends and solutions.

Attendees can expect a “forward-looking perspective”, with a focus on sustainability, digital transformation and consumer-driven innovations.
