Specialised housing materials and high ingress resistance, meeting IP 67 or IP 69K specifications, make ifm field bus modules specifically suited for use in coolant applications or used directly in wet areas in the food industry. The ecolink technology enables reliable, permanently ingress-resistant M12 connections of the connection cables.

The units offer several advantages such as enabling a separation between automation and IT networks. A separate Internet of Things (IoT) ethernet socket separates IT and automation networks, allowing sensor information to be safely sent to the IT and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Moneo configure intuitive software is designed to find all IO-link masters in the network and create an overview of the whole plant. In addition, all connected sensors are displayed with the respective parameters, enabling sensor configuration and allowing the parameters of all sensors in the system to be set from one central point.

The sensors and actuators are connected by means of standard M12 connection cables without screening, facilitating easy sensor connection. Depending on the device type, up to four or eight IO-Link sensors can be connected and supplied with up to 3.6 A. EVC693 and EVF693 accessories allow for the supply of additional auxiliary power for the connection of IO-link actuators, and a cable measuring up to 20 m in length can be used.
