Sole distributor of Camfil filters, Air and Lab Products Africa (ALPA), and premium clean-air solutions manufacturer Camfil, have taken the initiative to provide two air filters – the Dynavane filter and the corrosion resistant molecular filter – to combat human health issues and poor air quality.

The Dynavane filter is self-cleaning and does not require routine maintenance. It is designed to provide long, trouble-free service under the most difficult conditions.

The Dynavane filter blade packs are also removable, which allows for thorough inspection or service, if necessary, says ALPA director Geraldine Pretorius.

The Dynavane filter material of construction is mild steel, or stainless steel in grades 304 and 316.

Meanwhile, the corrosion-resistant molecular cylindrical filter is filled withCamfil-activated alumina or activated carbon. The filter is “the most versatile gas phase air filter” for installation in supply, recirculation and exhaust air systems in commercial, industrial and process applications, notes Pretorius.

“The filter’s design provides the best total cost of ownership for the removal of corrosive, odorous and irritant gases in the air.”

Pretorius notes that both filters are unique, ensuring the most reliable protection against the Ebola virus, severe acute respiratory syndrome, and polio.

Additionally, both filtration systems are geared to ensure the cleanest conditions for the microelectronic industry.

The filters are ISO 16890-, EN 1822,- ISO 10121- compliant, enthuses Pretorius.

Pretorius states that ALPA and Camfil have a strong in-house culture of sustainability, which continues to be embedded in both companies’ operations in the global market.

It is ALPA’s belief that the best solutions for customers is the best solutions for the planet; thus, from design to delivery and across the product life cycle, ALPA considers the impact of its products on people.

“ALPA, alongside Camfil, has been a sustainable company from the onset. “We are convinced, together with our customers, employees and stakeholders, that we can shape a truly sustainable future,” Pretorius concludes.
