Hydraulics and pneumatics supplier Hyflo’s extensive range of fluid power products include hydraulic crimping equipment and tooling, designed for the efficient manufacture of factory-quality hose assemblies.

“Hyflo’s Parker Parkrimp and Karrykrimp hydraulic crimping equipment enables customers to manufacture hose assemblies to precise specifications, quickly, easily and cost effectively,” explains Hyflo Southern Africa sales manager Michael Bissett.

He notes that a recent success was for a Hyflo customer in the agriculture sector, who invested in Parkrimp 2 and Karrykrimp 2 machines – as part of Hyflo’s Asset on Loan services. Hyflo offers a rental service to its customers for all their hydraulic equipment and tool needs.

“These highly efficient crimping machines enable our customer to produce quality hose assemblies to exact requirements and have contributed to the company’s enviable reputation as a dependable supplier of quality equipment,” notes Bissett.

The Parkrimp 2 – the largest machine in Parker’s crimper range, available in single or three phase options – requires no calibration and is simple to operate. This versatile crimper can crimp straight or bent-stem steel and stainless steel fittings, from 0.25ʺto 2ʺ in diameter, including 25, 26, 43, 70, 71, 73, 76, 77, 78, 79, 81, S6 and HY series. These robust machines are suitable for high-volume productivity, as well as portable, on-site assembly.

Karrykrimp 2 models are portable or bench-mounted crimpers, which can crimp Parkrimp style straight or bent-stem stainless and stainless steel fittings, up to 1.25ʺ in diameter, including 25, 26, 43, 70, 71, 73, 77, 78, 81 and HY series.

The modular design gives users the flexibility of a portable crimper, with the advantages of increased productivity, when connected to the stationary power unit. Increased height enables longer bent tube fittings to be crimped with Parker’s 25, 26, 43, 81 and HY series Parkrimp fittings.

Parker’s Parkalign system positions the fitting securely in the die, to ensure a perfect crimp to the exact diameter required. The efficient bottom-loading design enables operators to easily manage long hose assemblies and linked dies prevent segments from being misplaced or mismatched.
