Hyprop deploys admyt ticketless parking solution at major malls
JSE-listed real estate investment trust Hyprop Investments and ticketless parking solutions company admyt have partnered to improve parking services at Hyprop’s largest retail centres.
admyt will soon be available at more than 70 locations countrywide, including CapeGate, Woodlands, Canal Walk, Rosebank Mall, Somerset Mall and Clearwater Mall.
The installation and rollout of admyt’s services will cover 30 000 parking bays and 175 lanes, with the solution using licence plate recognition technology to streamline the parking experience, eliminate paper tickets and allow greater convenience for users.
The admyt parking application currently has 280 000 vehicles active on its platform, processing more than four-million parking events every year.
Once shoppers register on the app, it allows them to park at all admyt-enabled malls. When shoppers drive up to the parking entrance or exit of an admyt site, it opens automatically by recognising the licence plate.
In addition to ticketless entry and exit, admyt offers parking validations for supermarkets and gyms, as well as exclusive free parking credits and rewards for its users.
Hyprop national facilities manager Brenda Frylinck says the partnership with admyt is testament to its commitment to deliver innovative solutions that enhance shoppers’ experiences, as well as ensure operational efficiencies.
“This is one of the many ways we keep our retail centres relevant and competitive, providing convenience to our shoppers and visitors,” she adds.
In turn, admyt co-CEO Kfir Rusin says the expansion of admyt locations through Hyprop makes ticketless and more sustainable parking solutions accessible to a broader audience, which is setting a new parking standard for millions of shoppers in South Africa.
