Investing in the best jetting equipment for the job

( Virtual showroom ) Makabongwe Nomatye, Director at Sojaji Pty Ltd., says his business is booming and growing faster than ever before now that he’s invested in the right equipment for his needs – a Werner Pumps trailer-mounted drain blaster. This four-cylinder jetting trailer assists the business with its core business of drain and stormwater blockage solutions in East London.
“We handle everything from unblocking sewerage and stormwater pipes to CCTV camera inspections and industrial high-pressure cleaning,” says Nomatye. “Sojaji was established in February 2018. Initially, we had planned to get into the cleaning industry and a few years later, we found our passion in plumbing, primarily drainage design and maintenance. Now that we’ve got the trailer, we get called to sort out sewers with years’ worth of problems!”
Nomatye has plans to expand the business to service the Eastern Cape coastline, from Port St Johns through to the Wild Coast, East London, Port Alfred, and Gqeberha, as well as inland regions. He’s thrilled with the performance of the Werner Pumps trailer, having found the company online after being let down by other suppliers in the industry before.
“My main client was battling manganese blockages on their drainage lines and with the Werner Pumps specifications of high flow and low pressure, the trailer’s penetration is more effective with no hassle, especially with top end ENZ nozzles,” he says.
Nomatye says Sojaji has built a reputation for reliability and professionalism. “We proudly serve both residential and commercial clients, ensuring that every job, big or small, receives the same attention to detail and quality service,” he says. “We were recently called to unblock a 2km blockage a day before the SAPS pass-out parade at All St Saints in Bisho. To say we impressed the main contractor is an understatement!”
George Jolly, National Sales Manager at Werner Pumps, says he’s delighted that Nomatye is so happy with his trailer. “We’re very proud of our 100% locally manufactured jetting units, whether they’re trailer or trucks,” he says. “Makabongwe has been our favourite type of client – he’s referred other potential customers to us and given us glowing reviews. That’s always what we want to achieve!”
Jolly says the drain blaster trailer units are diesel-driven with a 600-litre breaker tank and hydraulic hose reel with 120m hose, all fitted on a high-speed road ordinance trailer. There are models available for every need, ranging from 70 litres per minute to 500 litres per minute, with pressures from 130 Bar to 205 Bar and power from 35kW to 135kW.
“What I’d say to someone else buying a Werner trailer is, ‘Welcome to the world of specialising!’ I’d even ask if they’d be willing to share,” says Nomatye, laughing. “I would advise those in the industry not to hesitate to contact Werner Pumps if they are looking at being the best in the game.”
Werner Pumps builds all trailer units to order.
