Local industrial coatings distributor helps to reduce corrosion costs
SPONSORED POST: Black-woman-owned industrial coatings distributor, POFU Supply on Demand, has recently expanded operations from Gauteng to Kwazulu-Natal in collaboration with local and international coatings manufacturers and distributors to provide the industrial market with a variety of asset maintenance solutions.
The company aims to supply high-performance industrial coatings, sealants, waterproofing and grouting that meet the needs of the market, reduces maintenance costs, minimises asset degradation due to climatic conditions and industrial pollutants, and also protects the environment.
The range of products include:
- High ratio calcium sulfonate alkyd – HRCSA
- Buried pipeline mainline/field joint coating system – Polyguard RD-6
- High performance polyurea – VIP coating system
- Waterproofing systems torch-on
- Concrete repair systems– grouting, joint sealants and adhesives
- Flooring epoxies
POFU Supply on Demand asserts that the key product in its selection is the Afrisun HRCSA and the successful of the product for field-applied maintenance has led to the establishment of its branch in Richards Bay, where, as in most coastal areas, corrosion is particularly prevalent.
Afrisun HRCSA is a red penetrating sealant used for superior wetting into high corrosion areas or inaccessible areas such as splice plates, rockers, box construction design and pack rust. The sealant is a low volatile organic compound penetrating liquid used in conjunction with AFRISUN-HRCSA topcoat. A single component, specifically compounded system, bound together with a calcium sulfonated alkyd in an aliphatic hydrocarbon is applied over surfaces with tightly adherent rust and hard-to-reach areas such as crevices which are properly sealed off, without the need to dismantle equipment. Numerous trials conducted on Afrisun HRCSA have shown its superior quality, providing excellent resistance in corrosive and salt-air environments and has also been shown to be ultra-violet light stable.
