Established in 2020, the company identified a need for quality, affordable products in the South African thermal insulation market. It supplies a variety of industries, including marine, smelters, cement plants, power generation, pulp and paper plants, refineries, boiler manufacturers, fan manufacturers, steel mills, and the agricultural and petrochemical sectors.

Products supplied and manufactured by Fawkes Thermal Manufacturing & Supplies include:

• Expansion joints: designed to withstand temperatures from 160 °C to 1 200 °C. Fabric, rubber and LFP-types manufactured.
• Metal bellows: ranging from standard axial type bellows to custom made products, with a temperature range of 200 °C to 800 °C and a pressure rating of up to 50 bar.
• Rubber ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) bellows: available from ND 32 mm to ND 200 mm. Can operate up to 16 kgf/cm2 and 120 °C, depending on the model.
• Stitched bellows: can be fitted with a range of fastenings, including zips or Velcro.
• Loading chutes
• Boiler joints: can be manufactured to specification and are able to withstand temperatures of up to 250 °C. 
• Seals and packing:  Standard square, round and rectangular: tadpole seals, rotary kiln seals, electrode seals, mechanical seals.
• Thermal insulation jackets: designed to reduce heat loss from ductwork, valves, flanges, boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, and other fittings.
• Industrial gaskets: ring, full face, or spiral wound.
• Ceramic fibre products: designed with a glass reinforcement to withstand high temperatures of up to 650 °C, and wire-reinforced ceramic products to withstand temperatures of 1 260 °C. Products include blankets, board, cloth, rope, tape, paper.
• Glass textile products: available in E-glass and C-glass. Able to withstand temperatures of up to 550 °C. Range includes tapes, cloth, sleeving (silicone coated optional), rope or yarn and glass felt.
• Water pipe insulation: available for indoor and outdoor applications for hot, cold, polyurethane or copper piping. Can be used for thermal and acoustic insulation and is able to withstand temperatures of up to 660 °C.
