Established in 1944, Martin Engineering is the leading international developer, manufacturer and supplier of innovations to make the handling of bulk materials cleaner, safer and more productive.

As a customer-centric company, Martin Engineering focuses on four main areas, including safety, efficiency, productivity and profit.

These four areas of focus are thoroughly intertwined, with every product it sells and every solution it provides focusing on striving to protect workers from injury or illness and eliminating wasted motion and energy use in your process.

Martin Engineering also helps customers to move as much product as possible per given length of time while maximising revenues and minimising costs.

It also offers the free service of Martin Walk the Belt where it inspects conveyor systems and assesses their performance toward the goal of maximising productivity and reducing unscheduled downtime.

Martin Engineering’s product line-up includes belt cleaners; tail pulley protection; belt alignment; belt support; belt sealing; dust management and flow aid solutions.

The company offers belt cleaners that work in the most challenging and unique environments, such as on conveyor systems where there is minimal space around the head pulley.

Its innovative N2 remote monitoring for conveyor belt cleaners allows for remote monitoring of the belt cleaner blade through Martin’s proprietary mobile app and dashboard, indicating remaining blade life, notifying when retensioning or replacement is required, and warning in the event that the blade is no longer in contact with the belt.

Martin Engineering is dedicated to helping you boost profits by keeping your product flowing with as little unscheduled downtime as possible. Its air cannons release timed bursts of compressed air that break up accumulations and bottlenecks in process vessels without damaging your equipment. It also offers innovative nozzles that can be removed easily from the outside for cleaning or replacement without having to remove the entire air cannon, as well as high-quality valve assemblies and electronic controls.

As a proudly level 2 B-BBEE company, Martin Engineering Africa operates a manufacturing facility in Emalahleni, in Mpumalanga, South-Africa. The success it has gained over the years by providing quality products and immaculate service – both locally as well as in KwaZulu Natal, Western Cape and Zimbabwe – has paved the way for expansion into the rest of Africa.

It is proud to be a family-orientated business that takes time to celebrate every employee, ensuring its team members are safe and return home to their families each day.
