New distributor for pump range

1st October 2010

Font size: - +

Hydraulic engineering company Bearing Man Group (BMG) Hydraulics, part of the BMG group, has been appointed as a distributor of hydraulic technology group Enerpac’s range of hydraulic cylinders, pumps and related
products throughout sub-
Saharan Africa.

“This distribution agreement forms part of BMG’s strategic plan, which is to broaden the group’s product offering and solutions capability in the marketplace,” says BMG Hydraulics national sales manager Mark Johnson.

The company’s solutions-
driven approach to engineering encompasses a project management and consulting facility that integrates different technologies, from hydraulics and pneumatics to electronics and information technology.

The Enerpac range includes tools and equipment for most industrial segments, from the smallest cylinder to computer- controlled systems for lifting huge structures.
A new Enerpac range of electric pumps, which requires 18% less power draw than comparable pumps on the market, has been launched locally..

This new high-efficiency pump design results in higher oil flow and bypass pressure, as well as lower operating temperatures.
Other features include an
adjustable relief valve built in on all valves fitted to these pumps, steel reservoirs and robust carry-
ing handles or lifting eyes.
A totally enclosed, fan-cooled motor with a steel fan guard
ensures the extended life of the unit.

Pumps in the new Enerpac range include the ZE-series, which has been designed for
extended, high-speed and heavy-duty cycle applications, with
medium to large cylinders and tools and ZE-standard
electric pumps with manual valves.

The series also includes ZE electric pumps with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and manual or solenoid valves.
Back-lit LEDs in the electric box provide self-test, diagnostic
and read-out capabilities – a new feature on industrial pumps.

Additional accessories include a pressure transducer, steel cage, filter, heat exchanger and an oil level switch.
