New line of apprentice vices now available
A range of vices featuring a fully enclosed bullet design for long-term durability and optimal clamp forces is now available nationwide.
The Wilton apprentice vices are designed with castings that are said to be twice as strong as standard gray cast iron versions.
“We designed the Apprentice Vice line to give users a dependable, professional-grade vice they can count on—whether it's their first purchase, an upgrade, or part of setting up a new workspace,” said Wilton product manager Patrick Gordon.
Key features include:
- Precision slide bar for smooth operation
- Secure mechanical locking base with 360° swivel
- Uniform clamping pressure across the jaws
- Replaceable jaws made from hardened steel
- Large integrated anvil work surface
- Dual lockdowns and four-bolt mounting pattern
Available in 4" and 6" models, as well as a 5 ½" multi-purpose vice, the range is ideal for small shop owners, automotive mechanics, and maintenance, repair and overhaul technicians. The 4" model (WL1-107) offers up to 6 000 lb of clamp force, the 5 ½" model (WL1-111) and 6" model (WL1-109) offer up to 8 300 lb of clamp force.
