Location
About 200 km from shore, in water depths of up to 2 900 m, in the Campos basin presalt, in Brazil.

Project Owner/s
Equinor (35% – operator), Repsol Sinopec Brasil (35%) and Petrobras (30%).

Project Description
Raia is one of the most significant gas projects under development in Brazil. When in operation, it could provide up to 15% of total gas demand in the country. It contains natural gas and oil/condensate recoverable reserves of more than one-billion barrels of oil equivalent.

The operation will have a gas export capacity of 16-million mega standard cubic metres a day, and a floating production storage and offloading unit capacity of about 126 000 bbl/d.

Potential Job Creation
The project will create up to 50 000 direct and indirect jobs locally throughout its lifetime.

Capital Expenditure
$9-billion.

Planned Start/End Date
Startup is expected in 2028.
