The facilities management industry in South Africa is transforming how we engage with the spaces that shape our daily lives. Moving beyond mere practicality, a dynamic focus on crafting environments that uplift, nurture wellbeing, and foster connection is taking centre stage. This progressive approach reflects South Africa’s distinctive values — merging affordability with forward-thinking solutions. As a result, facilities management is becoming a cornerstone of community-driven innovation, paving the way for a new era of inclusive and inspiring spaces.

The facilities management market in South Africa is expected to reach USD 13.32 billion by 2029, growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 4.62%. This growth is attributed to increasing infrastructure development and the need for efficient building management.[1]

“Co-located with Securex South Africa, A-OSH EXPO, and Firexpo, Facilities Management Expo creates a launchpad for the providers of facilities management technology and services. The expo, which will take place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 3 to 5 June 2025, brings forward-thinking solutions to the market all under one roof,” says Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions — a division of Montgomery Group.

Live demonstrations of solutions and interactive networking sessions with the knowledgeable exhibitors are attractive benefits for visitors to the exhibition. “The exhibitors benefit from gaining access to thousands of potential customers over the three days of the expo. Moreover, the traffic flow-through from the co-located expos increases collaboration opportunities for the exhibitors. Finally, the free-to-attend Facilities Management Seminar Theatre, which runs daily over the three days of the expo, has proved to be a big drawcard for interested facilities and building managers,” says Anderson.
