In a recent industrial project for a client in North West province, VERNi successfully implemented its advanced acid-proofing solutions aimed at enhancing durability and safety of crucial operational areas.

The project involved applying acid- resistant systems to tank bases and acid offloading areas, ensuring long-term protection against corrosive substances.

The project’s primary objective was to provide robust protection for areas exposed to harsh chemical environments. Tank bases and acid offloading zones are particularly susceptible to damage from acidic substances, which can compromise structural integrity and lead to costly repairs or operational downtime. By installing a reliable acid-proofing system, VERNi aimed to mitigate these risks effectively.

To achieve optimal results, VERNi used its acid-resistant bricks, known for their superior strength and durability. These bricks are specifically designed to withstand the harshest acidic conditions, providing an impenetrable barrier against chemical attacks.

In conjunction with the bricks, VERNi-EN Grout, a chemical-resistant epoxy novolac grout, was applied in other areas to ensure a seamless installation, filling gaps and providing additional reinforcement to the structure. Both acid proofing systems guarantee a robust and long- lasting solution.

Commenting on the project’s success, VERNi CEO Vernon Botha says: “Our advanced acid-proofing solutions provide unparalleled protection, ensuring that our clients can operate with confidence in even the most challenging environments. This project demonstrates our dedication to excellence and innovation in corrosion protection.”

With the enhanced protection now in place, the client can operate confidently, knowing that its critical areas are safeguarded by state-of-the-art acid-proofing technology, he adds.
