Sany ensures that customers experience minimal downtime and maximum productivity

Sany Equipment South Africa marketing and branding generalist Hennie Louw speaks to Mining Weekly at the Investing in African Mining Indaba.
Heavy equipment manufacturer Sany Equipment’s regional headquarters was established in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2006, strategically positioned to serve South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and beyond.
Leveraging years of successful distribution through its esteemed dealers, Sany is proud to formally commit to the South African market and its clientele. This commitment is underscored by Sany’s strategic decision to establish a firm presence on South African soil.
As a testament to its unwavering dedication, Sany is embarking on a significant development project – the construction of its new headquarters in the vibrant East Rand area. This R300-million investment symbolises the company’s long-term vision and steadfast commitment to fostering growth and prosperity within the South African business landscape.
Sany Southern Africa’s parts distribution centre spans an impressive 20 000 m2, making it Sany’s largest parts warehouse on the African continent.
This facility is stocked with about R270-million worth of spare and wearing parts, ensuring that an array of equipment, including excavators, wide-body trucks, cranes, concrete equipment, road machines, loaders and tunnel-boring machines, are always ready for peak performance.
The central warehouse is a vital hub for Sany’s operations, meticulously designed to guarantee the timely and effective supply of spare parts across 14 countries in Southern Africa. By maintaining such an extensive inventory, Sany ensures that customers experience minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
