Sentech is taking significant steps in advancing government mission-critical infrastructure by exploring opportunities in the 450 MHz spectrum.

This strategic initiative aligns with Sentech’s vision to enhance national connectivity and support government and public sector operations with secure, reliable and resilient communication networks.

“With the 450 MHz spectrum, Sentech is poised to bridge the digital divide and ensure that even the most remote communities have access to reliable communication networks,” said Sentech acting CEO Tebogo Leshope.

“Our expertise and infrastructure uniquely position us to drive this transformation and support critical national services.”

With an extensive network of towers, real estate assets and a strong track record in network management, Sentech is well-positioned to deploy and operate mission-critical broadband and narrowband solutions on the 450 MHz spectrum.

The unique advantages of the 450 MHz spectrum include extended coverage with fewer base stations, which is ideal for rural and underserved areas, as well as superior signal penetration, ensuring strong indoor and underground connectivity, and high reliability, essential for emergency services, disaster management and public safety communications.

“Sentech remains committed to collaborating with industry leaders and regulators to develop an ecosystem that fosters innovation and connectivity,” Leshope commented.

“We believe that by working together, we can create a future where secure and reliable communication is accessible to all.”
