New Leica Geosystems machine control aftermarket kit for Shantui excavators and dozers.

Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, and Shantui Construction Machinery, which specialises in the manufacturing and sale of construction machinery products and related spare parts, today announced the availability of new aftermarket machine control installation kits for SE215, SE20, SE58SR excavators and the DH20M dozer.

The new aftermarket kits are designed for seamless integration with Shantui's latest excavators and dozer, enabling swift installation of Leica Geosystems’ Leica MC1 3D machine control solutions. These solutions offer operators real-time data and precision guidance, reducing the need for manual stakeouts and minimising rework.

“Through our collaboration with Leica Geosystems, we are empowering operators with the latest digital technology that enhances precision, productivity and ease of use,” says Philip Gong, Director of Europe Business Dept at Shantui. “With the easy-to-install aftermarket kit of the Leica MC1 machine control systems, our latest excavators and dozer provide operators with greater control, efficiency and confidence on the job site. With localised operation in Europe, Shantui will continue to provide the best machine and service for our partners, and we aim to make construction easier thanks to the cooperation between Shantui and Leica Geosystems."

“Our continued partnership with Shantui highlights our dedication to collaborating with key industry leaders to deliver innovative technology solutions across the heavy construction sector,” says Neil Williams, President of the Machine Control Division at Leica Geosystems. “The introduction of these aftermarket kits empowers operators to seamlessly digitalise their processes without the need for a complete system overhaul, ensuring that advanced machine control is readily available to enhance project outcomes.”

The aftermarket solutions are compatible with the following new Shantui models:

  • Excavators: SE215, SE20, SE58SR
  • Dozer: DH20M
