Leading filtration solutions manufacturer Donaldson provides reinforced units and ATEX-certified solutions for the safe handling of combustible dust, helping manufacturers optimise operations while meeting stringent safety standards, and further cementing its position as a global leader in the dust and fume control sector, says Donaldson air filtration sales manager for Italy Pierpaolo Colombani.

The company will exhibit its latest innovations at the “premier” international exhibition for sheet metal forming and cutting technologies, Lamiera, which takes place in Milan, Italy, from May 6 to 9, 2025.

These innovations include innovative air filtration solutions that efficiently capture hazardous dust and fumes, ensuring safer, cleaner and more productive work environments, highlighting Donaldson’s decades of experience in servicing the metal fabrication and machining industries.

Comprehensive Filtration Solutions

Visitors at Lamiera 2025 will have the opportunity to see a live demonstration of the Downflo Evolution (DFE) cartridge dust collector, with a working unit at Donaldson’s stand.

Designed to deliver high-efficiency filtration in a compact footprint, the DFE system features ultra-web filters to capture fine metal dust and fumes while helping companies comply with air quality standards.

This system is built for durability and energy efficiency and incorporates downward airflow technology and an advanced pulse cleaning system to extend filter life and reduce maintenance.

Additionally, Donaldson will also highlight its Downflo Evolution pre-assembled dust collectors, which offer flexible installation options to meet diverse customer needs as well as its PowerCore dust collectors, reportedly renowned for their “compact yet powerful” filtration capabilities.

As a leader in dust and fume collection, Donaldson provides reinforced units and ATEX-certified solutions for the safe handling of combustible dust, helping manufacturers optimise operations while meeting stringent safety standards.

With Italy’s metal fabrication sector valued at about €3.4-billion, Lamiera serves as a hub for industry leaders driving innovation in “cutting-edge” machinery and solutions.

Donaldson’s presence at the event underscores its commitment to advancing air filtration technology in this vital sector.

“We welcome visitors to Lamiera to not only learn about Donaldson solutions for the metalworking industry, but to discover the whole Donaldson ecosystem and its potential benefits to customers and their existing systems,” concludes Colombani.
