Filtration supplier and specialist Filcon Filters released its new Jumbo Titan Filter bag last month.

The new Jumbo Titan Filter bag is the ideal product to fundamentally address an age-old industrial problem of getting maximum life without the danger of the bag bursting, says Filcon Filters sales and marketing director Vernon Clarke.

He says the significantly increased surface area of the new Jumbo Titan Filter bag, is ideal for large dirt loading applications.

The Jumbo Titan Filter bag also offers increased service life with greatly reduced downtime as a result of fewer change-outs.

Owing to its heavy duty construction the Jumbo Titan Filter bag can withstand pressure spikes and is able to cope with pressure that would usually damage standard filter bags.

Clarke says that the Jumbo Titan Filter bag has an improved flow rate and reduced initial pressure drop with a higher maximum pressure drop, ranging from 0.12 mPa to 0.2 mPa.

Additionally, it is patented with sun double seal rings to prevent particulate bypass, ensuring accurate filtration which has flammable ranges.

Clarke further notes that all filtration media are FDA compliant.

Clarke states that the Jumbo Titan Filter bag can be used in water treatment, pharmaceutical applications, as well as the food and beverage, and chemical, industries.

“We have also developed the Jumbo Titan Filter bag to be fit for reverse osmosis pre-filtration, electronics, electrocoating and phosphate baths.”

Owing to the company’s high standard of customising its products to meet client requirements, Clarke notes that there were no major challenges in the manufacturing process, other than it being long and tedious.

“Filcon Filters has always aimed to provide products in a highly custom-toned environment, incorporating our standard of custom-made designer filters for clients, which, in turn, makes the production of multi-procedure filters relatively easy, to produce,” says Clarke.

Exporting the Jumbo Titan Filter bag – and the rest of Filcon Filters’ products – to various countries in Africa is one of the company’s main objectives, Clarke concludes.
