Tank Industries announces major distribution partnership
Tank Industries has been appointed as sole distributor of TE Connectivity’s Raychem cable accessories in Southern Africa, giving the company a significant advantage in the cabling sector.
Tank Industries is South Africa’s premier local manufacturer of polymer based cable accessories, providing connectivity solutions to cable manufacturers, power, telecommunica-tions and electronic equipment manufacturers, as well as design and installation engineers.
Founded in 1986, Tank is a member of the South Africa-listed Reunert Group and has been part of the cable industry for the last 20 years. The company holds level one broad-based black economic empowerment status and is fully compliant with all required safety, health, environmental and quality standards in place. Tank Industries also boasts an EWSETA accredited training facility in Cape Town for cable accessories.
Tank Industries is proud of its highly skilled and experienced team of staff, led by GM, Clive Maasch. Its sales team is headed by Rob Riley, with staff based in all major centres across South Africa and the rest of Africa. Technical managers Tommie Nortje and Adriaan Theron were trained in Germany by TE Connectivity and have in-depth knowledge of the market and of the full range of products offered by Tank Industries.
The company highlights the massive potential opportunity for growth as a result of the recent publication of ministerial determinations enabling over 11 000 MW of electricity procurement from independent power producers (IPPs), including round five of the Renewable Energy IPP Procurement Programme. Tank Industries asserts that
these new opportunities will allow it to
further promote TE Connectivity’s Raychem products to IPPs.
The Tank Power Division Management Team are proud of the 2019/20 TE Connectivity “Award of Appreciation” presented at the most recent MEA Conference in Dubai for invaluable support and dedication.
