Main activity of company: I am mainly responsible for leading the financial functions of our subsidiary companies and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.
Place of birth: In Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
Education: I studied a BCom in Financial Accounting and proceeded to complete my post graduate diploma in Accounting, both at the University of Cape Town.
Management style: I consider myself a transformational leader who creates an environment that inspires and motivates my team to be innovative and think outside of the box when applying themselves.
Personal best achievement: One of my greatest achievements would be fulfilling my childhood dream of registering as a Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. Another one was registering to run a marathon with no prior running experience and completing the marathon within the designated timeframe to get a medal.
Person you would most like to meet: As a young person this may be cliché, but I would love to meet Beyoncé. Her drive and determination to not only achieve what she envisioned for herself but to constantly outdo herself is truly inspiring.
Philosophy of life: My philosophy of life is that you are capable of achieving anything you put your mind to as long as you believe in yourself.
Message for other young and upcoming women leaders: Do not grow weary of the sacrifices you have to make as you pour into the person you aspire to be. Trust in the process, and before you know it, you will reap the rewards.
