Updated conveyor impact cradle design
a US-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk materials processing and handling systems has announced a revised design of its conveyor impact cradle. The new design includes larger pad cartridges designed to improve durability and a reinforced point of connection between the pads and cradle frame.
Superior Industries' Conveyor Impact Cradle is a redesign of the traditional impact bed. While both products absorb the force of falling material to prevent damage to conveyor belts, the Impact Cradle is specifically engineered to address shortcomings associated with the design of traditional impact beds.
Features of the cradle include:
- Curved bed that supports belting, leaving no gaps to trap fugitive material
- Pads are designed to be easy to slide on or off cradle frame in tight, hard to access transition zones
- No special tools are required, which speeds up installation and maintenance
- One-piece pads made from a special urethane reduce friction and enhance cushioning
In addition to the standard model, the redesigned cradle is available in two additional pre-engineered models.
