Schneider Electric, the world’s most sustainable company and a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ziphozihle Wonci as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Anglophone Africa.
With over 18 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, Wonci brings a wealth of expertise in finance, internal controls, audits, and, most notably, commercial finance disciplines to Schneider Electric.
She has held key leadership roles at various multinational organisations, including serving as Finance Director at Galderma South Africa (formerly Nestlé Health), Finance Director at Mondelez International for Southern Africa, and most recently, CFO at Kimberly-Clark for over four years, overseeing financial strategy across Southern Africa.
Wonci’s appointment marks an exciting transition into the energy and automation sector. She is committed to understanding Schneider Electric’s business model, products, and go-to-market strategy, ensuring she functions as a strategic business partner to the Cluster President.
“My priority is to learn the business, understand our customers, and contribute to Schneider Electric’s continued financial strength. I see finance as more than just managing the P&L and balance sheet, it’s about understanding the key drivers of the business and what makes it thrive,” says Wonci.
As CFO for Anglophone Africa, Wonci will focus on maintaining Schneider Electric’s solid financial performance, driving sustainable growth, and supporting the company’s broader business objectives in the region.
In addition to her extensive professional experience, Wonci holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA), and holds a BCom in Investment Management, Finance from the University of Pretoria.
