Europe-based global major aerospace group Airbus has released its commercial aircraft delivery and order figures for 2025. It delivered 793 airliners throughout the year. These aircraft were delivered to 91 customers around the world.

The number of airliners delivered in 2025 was a 4% increase over the 766 delivered in 2024. Deliveries in 2023 totalled 735.

At the end of the year, its order backlog for single-aisle airliners was at the record level of 8 754, while that for widebody airliners stood at 1 124.

“In a continued complex and dynamic operating environment, deliveries in 2025 maintained an upward trajectory,” reported Airbus. “The year witnessed several landmark deliveries and welcomed new operators of the A220, the A321XLR, the A330neo and the A350-1000 across all regions.”

The group won 93 orders for its smallest airliners, the A220 family, last year. This compared to 75 orders in 2024 and 68 orders in 2023.

For the single-aisle A320 family, orders last year totalled 607, up from the 602 orders in 2024 and the 571 in 2023.

The widebody A330 family gained 36 orders in 2025, compared with 32 in 2024 and (again) 32 in 2023.

Airbus’ latest widebody design, the next-generation A350 family, won 57 orders last year, which was the same number as achieved in 2024, and both these figures were down on the 64 orders secured in 2023.

“Airbus also won repeat orders and key new customers in both single aisle and widebody campaigns,” pointed out the group. In gross terms, the group gained 1 000 orders from 57 customers. In net terms, the number of orders stood at 889.

The gross orders were composed of 49 A220s, 656 A320s, 100 A330neos, two A330MRTTs and 193 A350s. (The A330MRTTs were actually military aircraft, based on the A330 airliner, MRTT standing for multirole tanker transport.)
