BMG launches business-to-consumer e-commerce service
Industrial engineered products and components manufacturer BMG has launched e-commerce services on its online shopping platform.
The service has been designed especially for consumers to improve their buying experience of engineering consumables.
Products available online include bearings, seals, fasteners and power transmission components, hand and power tools, abrasives, brushware, spanners, wrenches and sockets, as well as electric motors and electronic motion control components.
The service is currently available in South Africa, and BMG plans to extend this facility to neighbouring countries soon.
BMG’s online services offer new and existing customers many benefits, including easy product browsing, selection and ordering, click-and-collect from the nearest branch or swift delivery, the company says.
“The success of BMG’s business-to-business online platform has inspired the establishment of a safe and efficient means for consumers to buy engineering components electronically.
"Our new online facility, which improves access to BMG consumables, forms part of our team’s commitment to meeting exact market requirements,” says BMG parent company Engineering Solutions Group marketing executive Darryn Wright.
“Feedback received during the Covid-19 pandemic indicated a preference for online procurement, rather than face-to-face shopping.
"Through this user-friendly online platform, consumers like woodwork aficionados, do-it-yourself enthusiasts, auto restorers, gardening gurus, farmers and plumbers can buy the components they require,” he points out.
Like the BMG business-to-business online portal, the new business-to-consumer platform is simple to navigate and allows consumers to browse the site, select the products they want and then pay by credit card or electronic fund transfers.
The company partnered with accredited online payment specialists Pay Gate to ensure the safety and security of transactions.
