SHAMROCK HANDLING CONCEPTS Shamrock supplies and supports the Agrimac all-terrain forklift trucks for various applications
CRITERION EQUIPMENT Criterion’s TCM T5C combustion forklift truck series has many features that improve safety during operation
Construction equipment distributor Capital Equipment Group’s (CEG’s) subsidiaries, Shamrock Handling Concepts and Criterion Equipment, launched products for the construction industry last year.
Forklift truck supplier Shamrock Handling Concepts supplies and supports the Agrimac all-terrain forklift trucks used for agriculture and forestry, mining, industrial sites, building and construction, as well as outdoor warehousing and military applications.
“The main advantage of the off-road forklift truckas is that one machine can move stock in all environments, without the need to use other vehicles – for example, one forklift truck can move stock from a yard or field, safely to a warehouse,” explains Shamrock MD Brenton Kemp.
The advantages of using the forklift trucks include stability and traction when operating in wet conditions and on uneven terrain, owing to their being fitted with large, heavy-duty pneumatic tyres, he adds.
The high axle centre of the Agrimac forklift trucks ensures adequate ground clearance without damaging their undercarriage.
Moreover, the limited use of digital technologies in the trucks mitigates electronic malfunctions, says Kemp.
Further, Shamrock released new Moffett M8 truck-mounted forklifts last year, designed with improvements for higher productivity, greater safety and comfort, as well as easier maintenance. The forklifts can lift up to 2.5 t and transfer heavy loads quickly and safely.
“An impressive feature of the forklifts is the convenience of easily transporting these compact, lightweight machines on almost any truck or trailer. “The four-way steering enables the operator to easily negotiate tight access areas with long loads,” he adds.
The Moffett M8 machines also allow for reduced cost of ownership, faster and quieter operation, efficient fuel consumption and lower carbon dioxide emissions.
Kemp explains that the newly designed hood, split rear doors and relocated battery compartment allow for easy access for daily checks and reduced maintenance, while one combined hydraulic assembly with fewer components improves reliability. A standard feature is easier access to the GroundStart control button for improved safety.
Criterion Equipmentent
Criterion Equipment introduced its TCM T5C 2.5 t and 3 t internal combustion forklift trucks in Southern Africa last year.
“This series has many features that improve safety during operation, including multi-directional visibility for clear front and rear fields of vision and a reinforced overhead safety guard that protects the operator and provides shelter when working outdoors, without obstructing visibility,” says Criterion Equipment MD Brenton Kemp.
“The CEG team offers its extensive customer base a technical advisory, repair, maintenance and spare parts service through a national network of branches and selected distributors,” concludes CEG CEO Tony Sinclair.
