Industry organisation Consulting Engineers South Africa (Cesa) will host its yearly Infrastructure Indaba at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways, north of Johannesburg, on March 18 and 19 under the theme “Engineering The Future We Want: Mobilising for Sustainable Development”.

It will bring together industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers from the public and private sectors, as well as academia, for knowledge sharing, discussions and networking opportunities with the aim to shape the future of infrastructure.

Key speakers at the event include Black Business Council in the Built Environment president Danny Masimene, Gautrain Management Agency CEO Tshepo Kgobe, Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean Macpherson, Investec chief economist Annabel Bishop and Business Unity South Africa CEO Khulekani Mathe.

University of South Africa Political Science professor Dirk Kotzé, Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager acting CE Moshe Motlohi, South African Institute of Chartered Accountants learning, development and national imperatives executive director Robert Zwane, Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa president Geoff Tooley, Development Bank of Southern Africa infrastructure delivery division group executive Chuene Ramphele, South African National Roads Agency CEO Reginald Lavhelesani Demana, Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa group CEO Hishaam Emeran and Minerals Council South Africa CEO Mzila Mthenjane will also speak at the event.
