Concrete product manufacturers get support
Construction materials company AfriSam highlights the specialist solutions it has developed for concrete product manufacturers (CPMs) over its 90 years of operating within the sector.
Concrete products need to be removed from moulds as quickly as possible, and in most cases there are stringent demands on quality, finish and strength. AfriSam sales manager cement manufacturing: Gauteng Adele Wentzel says that efficient production lines and quick cycle times are vital in the CPM segment and that the company’s Rapid Hard (52,5R) cement and its High Strength (42,5R) cement help meet these needs.
Another priority in the CPM segment is the reduction of energy consumption, especially in energy-intensive processes such as steam curing. AfriSam highlights its Centre for Product Excellence (CPE) which helps customers find innovative and cost-effective solutions.
“The CPE’s depth of expertise – backed up by sophisticated testing and laboratory infrastructure – means there are specialists available in the field of concrete products,” says Wentzel. “One of our initiatives has been a collaboration with a leading admixture provider, combining our skills and products with theirs to find ways to reduce costs for customers.”
“Some of the country’s leading CPMs have been our customers for over 40 years,” says Wentzel. “Relationships like these give us real insight into their daily concerns, and how we can add value to their operations.”
AfriSam offers qualified specialist advice and focused interventions aimed at helping customers achieve strategic improvements in their operational efficiency.
“Our ability to provide these value-adds stems from the trust we've built over many years within the CPM segment through sustained relationships,” emphasises Wentzel.
