Energy equipment provider returning to Electra Mining in 2026

NA8 AIR CIRCUIT BREAKER Built for both draw-out and fixed use, the NA8 offers flexible installation with horizontal, vertical, or mixed connections, making it ideal for complex layouts
Having participated in Electra Mining Africa 2024 (EMA24), energy equipment and solutions provider CHINT, will be returning to the trade show in 2026, to connect with industry stakeholders, showcase its latest innovations, and strengthen its brand presence in the region, says CHINT regional sales director Burt Lei.
“EMA presents a remarkable opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to innovation and sustainability in the energy sector. Our smart energy solutions are designed to meet the evolving needs of our customers and contribute to a more sustainable future. Building on this momentum, we are excited to return in 2026 to engage with an even broader audience, highlight our expanded product portfolio, and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to empowering Africa’s industrial and energy sectors.”
One of the products that will be on display at the 2026 edition is the newly launched NA8 Air Circuit Breaker, which brings a “fresh approach” to protecting high-energy facilities.
Built for both draw-out and fixed use, it offers flexible installation with horizontal, vertical, or mixed connections, making it ideal for complex layouts.
“What sets the NA8 apart is its intelligence. Energy reduction maintenance settings cut fault detection-to-tripping time, reducing arc flash risks during servicing. Further, the sequence of events function captures waveform data in real time, giving operators clearer insights into system behaviour.”
Lei adds that the near field communication technology enables “quick and effortless” on-site status checks, while the NA8’s compatibility with the smart portable test unit ensures protection settings can be verified with precision.
The NA8 “combines rugged reliability with modern digital tools”, as it is engineered for stability under wide temperature ranges and resistant to electromagnetic interference. For buyers, it represents a step forward—safer maintenance, smarter monitoring and seamless integration in mission-critical environments.
The NA8 epitomises the type of solutions that CHINT South Africa intends to display at EMA26.
“We aim to showcase our latest innovations in smart energy and green technology, reinforcing CHINT’s role as a trusted partner driving the transition toward a more efficient and sustainable future. Through EMA, we hope to contribute meaningfully to conversations shaping the industry and inspire new possibilities for energy and industrial growth in Africa.”
