Project Description
The project involves the construction of a new plant, a dedicated port terminal, handling stations and storage facilities.

The project includes the construction of a third urea fertiliser production line – Indorama’s third – increasing the company’s capacity from 2.8-million tons to 4.2-million tons a year.

Potential Job Creation
During the construction phase, it is estimated that more than 500 jobs will be generated, further contributing to economic development in Nigeria.

Capital Expenditure
The International Finance Corporation has arranged a $1.25-billion loan facility for the project.

Planned Start/End Date
The construction of the port terminal and third plant is set to begin in 2024, with commercial operations expected to start in 2026.
