A new service that provides free issue-specific bearing maintenance advice is now available from SKF. The company utilises a dedicated questionnaire to help customers learn more about bearing maintenance practices, to review and compare practices and to benchmark practices with similar companies within the same industry.

Customers are asked to highlight and upload details and photographs on a specific maintenance issue that requires expert advice, and the SKF team then issues tailored recommendations addressing the particular problem. On completion of the 20-minute questionnaire, the specific results will be shared by SKF in the form of a tailored maintenance maturity radar chart that can be downloaded by the customer.

The radar chart aims to make it simpler for participants to identify areas for improvement and allows the company’s experts to offer recommendations and suggestions on how to improve the identified areas. A SKF specialist then contacts the customer to discuss the outcome as well as the opportunities in greater detail, without any expected commitments or obligations.
