Project Owner/s
Tianqi Lithium Energy Australia (TLEA) comprising Tianqi Lithium Corporation (51%) and IGO Limited (49%).

Project Description
The Greenbushes lithium mine is recognised as having the highest-grade ore reserve of any hard-rock lithium mine globally.

The site comprises a large openpit mine, four processing plants – CPG1, CPG2, a tailings retreatment plant and a technical-grade plant that produces technical-grade lithium concentrates, as well as associated infrastructure. CGP3 will have a processing capacity of 2.4-million tonnes a year producing up to 500 000 t/y of lithium mineral concentrate.

Planning is under way for a fourth CGP. This project, subject to market conditions and final investment decision, will take the site’s production capacity to two-million tonnes a year of lithium mineral concentrates, with a Joint Ore

Reserves Committee-compliant mine life of 20 years.
