High speed doors help to reduce energy costs

The Apex range of high speed doors incorporates a counterweighted balancing system
The drive for reduced energy consumption has led to industries seeking new ways of optimising the efficiency of energy usage across supply chains.
High speed roll up doors are seen as a way of contributing to reduced energy costs, while also ensuring employee comfort. The doors allow for rapid opening and closing and facilitates a more controlled ambient temperature inside a manufacturing or warehousing facility.
Apex Strip Curtains & Doors reports increased calls for its technical team to assess the functionality of doors used within manufacturing, warehouse and other storage facilities.
The company explains that temperature and humidity control are enhanced through the elimination of excessive through flow of warm or cold exterior air into the workspace. In addition, the high speed operation of the doors contributes to a reduction in the influx of insects and other airborne contaminants that may negatively impact product quality.
It further asserts that its doors offer longer operating life and high safety standards, leading to a better return on investment and an improved operating environment for staff.
The Apex range of high speed doors incorporates a counterweighted balancing system that aims to provide fast, semi-automatic reopening, to facilitate unhindered traffic flow within businesses.
The high speed doors are designed to be unobtrusive, yet able to cope with the intensive demands of heavy and continuous traffic. The design features the integration of the actuator, controls, safety devices and balancing systems in one unit for improved cost efficiency and a reduced footprint.
Doors are available for medium and large entrances and selection is based on the size of opening, frequency of opening and closing and the volume of traffic.
