Some of the world’s leading mobile hydraulic technology will be on display at hydraulics and automation company Hytec Group/Rexroth’s stand at bauma CONEXPO AFRICA.

The company’s stand will include five group companies offering visitors a range of products.

The Hytec Group stand will include Hytec, Hytec Fluid Technology (HFT), Hydraulic & Automation Warehouse (HAW), Hytec Engineering and Hytec Services Africa (HSA). The companies will respectively display innovations for the construction, mining and materials handling industries.

Hytec will showcase its range of hydraulic technologies and components in addition to its advanced pump and motor refurbishment.

However, Hytec believes that its innovative and interactive 800 × 800 mm 2DoF will be the highlight at its stand. The 2DoF will be in a closed up controlled hydraulically actuated ball-in-a-maze puzzle and will display precise proportional control with speed and direction.
Hytec will allow visitors to be interactive with its joystick or tablet which can manipulate the spatial orientation of the maze.

The joystick/tablet connects to a Bosch Rexroth programmable logic controller (PLC), which in turn sends commands to an RC BODAS controller. The controller communicates with proportional solenoids that are used in controlling proportional valves. The valves specify the flow to two cylinders, which will actuate the three-dimensional orientation of the platform.

Linear drawstring encoders on the cylinders provide positional feedback of the cylinder – and therefore the platform – with the PLC providing the necessary synchronisation and control algorithms.

HAW will be displaying a range of products and accessories for mobile hydraulic machines, including gear pumps and motors, load sensing valves and manual control valves from SALAMI, as well as bell housings, drive couplings, level gauges and other accessories from Officine Meccaniche Torino, or OMT. HAW will also include a range of hoses and fittings from the Intertraco brand.

HFT – the group’s hydraulic fluid specialists – will feature the Hy-Pro Bulk Diesel Filtration Test Rig, which is Hy-Pro’s specialist coalescing/separator technology for removing water and dirt from diesel. HFT’s display will also feature a range of hydraulic filtration products and the ASA Hydraulik fluid cooling systems.

Hydraulic cylinder specialist Hytec Engineering will demonstrate its cylinder refurbishment and aftersales solutions capabilities, in addition to a range of newly manufactured cylinders for mobile machines.

HSA will provide African visitors with an opportunity to discuss the group’s product and distribution systems network as well as its service and support capabilities throughout the sub-Saharan region.

Hytec Group/Rexroth will have one stand in Hall 6 at stand F30 giving visitors an opportunity to interact with the latest hydraulic innovations on the market.
