Perseus advances resettlement, foundational construction at Nyanzaga
ASX- and TSX-listed Perseus Mining continues to make solid progress with building the Nyanzaga gold mine, in Tanzania.
Some of the latest highlights include the Ngoma town bypass road having been completed, the semi-autogenous grinding mill raft concrete foundation having been poured ahead of schedule, and concrete blinding having been poured on all process plant critical foundations.
The company advises that more concrete pours for the ball mill and gyratory primary crusher are imminent, while it also aims to complete resettlement housing construction by the end of October.
Perseus continues with resource definition drilling, to expand the current probable reserve of 52-million tonnes, grading 1.40 g/t gold for a contained 2.3-million ounces.
The company aims to produce 200 000 oz/y of gold from the mine from 2028 to 2035 by mining the Tusker and Kilimani deposits using a large openpit operation. First production is expected in the first quarter of 2027.
