Rome assures shareholders its DRC operations continue uninterrupted
In light of the ongoing security developments in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Aim-listed Rome Resources has confirmed that drilling operations at its Bisie North site continue uninterrupted, with transport to and from the site directly supported by British Aircraft Corporation helicopters.
Rome said on February 11 that it had also implemented enhanced security measures to ensure the safety of its personnel and contractors.
Following recent events in Goma and the uncertainty around Bukavu, the company has proactively relocated its logistical base for personnel and equipment transfers to Kisangani, the regional capital, located about 200 km northwest of Bisie North.
This proactive move was implemented to ensure continued operational stability while maintaining a safe distance from the unrest along the Rwandan border.
Rome said it remained focused on advancing exploration activities and expected to announce further assay results from Bisie North within the next ten days, specifically results from the northernmost MADD018 drill hole at Mont Agoma, where more than 100 m of visible copper was identified.
