SEW-EURODRIVE closing the loop
Automation company SEW-EURODRIVE has expanded its presence at Electra Mining Africa with added exhibition space in Hall 7, showcasing its innovations in automation and electronics. This complements the company’s landmark stand in Hall 6. Both stands reinforce the message that SEW-EURODRIVE is ‘closing the loop’ with its growing portfolio of product developments.
This expansion means diversifying into new opportunities within the mining and industrial sector value chains, introducing products to support this strategy. Visitors will see how sustainability is integrated into SEW-EURODRIVE’s growth across the continent including intensive upskilling at its local facilities in various African countries.
As industry leaders, SEW-EURODRIVE plays a key role in empowering artisans—both in-house and for customers—through its Drive Academy, which leverages augmented reality as a learning tool. This helps consolidate their foundation of expertise, upon which the market relies.
At the SEW-EURODRIVE stand in Hall 6, visitors can witness new solutions like the purpose-built SEW X.e agitator, fresh from its launch in Europe last year. Also being launched is a range of planetary solutions for new market segments and the new ECO2 design drive featuring environmentally friendly manufacture.
The SEW-EURODRIVE team is ready to discuss DriveRadar® technology with visitors, as the mining sector embraces predictive maintenance to achieve better uptime levels and enhance equipment lifespans. Another sustainability focus is the careful use of natural resources, including their lubrication solution.
In Hall 7, visitors can explore the latest generation SEW MOVI-C® modular automation technology, offering advanced features in a simpler-to-use format. This refined offering ensures customers get just what they need, with the option to add more features later. SEW-EURODRIVE also helps customers navigate the complexity of automation in drive technology, ensuring a smooth migration process.
