Solar & Storage Live Cape Town 2025 is proud to announce its strategic partnership with the Federated Hospitality Association of Southern Africa (FEDHASA), who will join the event as an official Association Partner. Taking place on 15–16 October 2025 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), the event will serve as a vital platform for cross-sector collaboration, with a dedicated focus on driving sustainable transformation within the hospitality industry.
As part of the event’s newly launched Partner Dialogue feature, FEDHASA will facilitate a two-hour workshop under the theme ‘Powering Hospitality: Real Solutions for Hotels, Lodges & Restaurants’. This specially curated session will bring together key stakeholders from across the hospitality, finance, legal and energy sectors to explore the adoption of solar, battery, and storage technologies as practical responses to South Africa’s ongoing energy challenges.
“In the Western Cape, tourism is more than business, here it’s community, culture and livelihoods. That’s why partnerships like this matter so much. By working with Solar & Storage Live, FEDHASA is helping our hospitality sector find real, workable energy solutions that protect jobs, support small businesses and keep our province shining as a world-class destination,” says Lee-Anne Singer, Chairperson FEDHASA Cape.
FEDHASA’s involvement underscores the urgent need for resilient energy strategies within tourism and hospitality – a sector heavily impacted by power disruptions and rising operational costs. The workshop will showcase real-world case studies from hospitality establishments that have successfully implemented clean energy systems, alongside practical insights into the financial, regulatory, and operational frameworks that support their success.
Attendees can expect:
- Expert panel discussion featuring representatives from hospitality, energy, and finance
- Opportunities to share lessons learned and best practices
- A guided walkabout of the full exhibition floor
- Access to thousands of energy professionals and hundreds of exhibitors
“We are thrilled to partner with FEDHASA for this critical conversation,” said Gina Bester, General Manager for Solar & Storage Live Cape Town. “Their leadership and deep engagement within the hospitality space bring invaluable perspective to the event. This workshop will deliver meaningful dialogue and, more importantly, real solutions.”
This partnership is part of the broader Partner Dialogue feature – a new addition for 2025 designed to spotlight energy challenges and opportunities within South Africa’s highest energy-consuming sectors. Developed in collaboration with leading industry associations, it brings together sector leaders to deliver targeted, solution-focused sessions. In addition to FEDHASA’s focus on hospitality, sessions will include SAREBI’s ‘Powering SMEs’ and the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s ‘Powering the Western Cape Economy’, all offering actionable insights and sector-specific guidance on energy adoption and policy.
Now in its second edition, the event is proudly supported by the Western Cape Government as Government Partner, the City of Cape Town as Host City Partner and GreenCape as Green Economy Partner. The 2025 edition will also feature exciting new additions such as the Made in South Africa Pavilion, the Installers University, and a dynamic Start-up Pavilion supported by SAREBI.
