Representatives from German automotive groups BMW, Daimler and Volkswagen (VW) met with President Donald Trump earlier this month in a bid to persuade the American leader not to follow through with his threat to introduce tariffs on European Union (EU) exports to the US. Pictured are two VW vehicles being elevated into storage bays inside one of the company’s Autostadt delivery towers, in Wolfsburg, Germany. VW indicated it would support eliminating tariffs on exported cars between the EU and the US and that it was also considering expanding production in America.
