    In an effort to push the boundaries of innovation through partnerships, and to improve the customer experience, Airports Company South Africa and BMW South Africa have launched BMW ChargeNow electric vehicle charging stations at OR Tambo International Airport, Cape Town International Airport and King Shaka International Airport.

    Sashnee Moodley:

    OR Tambo International and Cape Town International each have two ChargeNow stations that accommodate up to four cars at a time, while King Shaka International has one ChargeNow station able to charge two cars at a time. BMW Group South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa CEO Tim Abbott unpacks the future of EV.

    ACSA will cover all electricity costs associated with the charging stations for 12 months from the date of launch. Other EV users will also have the opportunity to park and fly. ACSA acting CEO Fundi Sithebe talks airport of the future.

    Sithebe says ACSA will continue to push the borders of innovation and seek out partnerships such as the one with BMW.
