CHEP appoints Alisdair Sinclair as sub-Saharan Africa VP
Specialist supply chain services company CHEP has appointed Alisdair Sinclair as the new CHEP sub-Saharan Africa VP from June 1.
He takes over the reins from retiring VP Hermann Haupt.
In his role as VP, Sinclair assumes responsibility for overseeing the company's overall strategy for sub-Saharan Africa, including driving growth initiatives, nurturing key partnerships and achieving customer excellence.
"Alisdair brings a remarkable blend of strategic thinking, industry knowledge, a passion for innovation, customer service and people. We are confident that under his guidance, CHEP sub-Saharan Africa will continue to leverage opportunities and deliver unparalleled value,” said CHEP India, Middle East, Türkiye and Africa and Asia Pacific president Phillip Austin.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hermann for his contribution over the past 27 years and, more recently, his leadership of the business over the past four years,” he added.
Sinclair was formerly Mondelez International South Africa MD, and is a seasoned business executive with 26 years of industry experience. His appointment propels the company towards continued growth and success, remaining steadfast in its commitment to its customers and the sub-Saharan African industry.
“I am truly honoured to lead a team of exceptional individuals who have played a pivotal role in the company's success thus far,” he said.
"Together, we will leverage our collective expertise to tackle challenges head-on and capitalise on the numerous growth opportunities that lie ahead, including building upon CHEP's rich history of providing superior quality products and solutions, fostering strong customer relationships, and delivering value to our stakeholders and the industries we serve,” Sinclair said.
