State-owned defence industrial group Denel announced on Tuesday morning that its acting Group CFO Thandeka Sabela had been reinstated, after having been suspended for several months. The suspension had followed a number of allegations being made against her.

A subsequent, and independent, investigation and disciplinary process had cleared her of all charges.

“Ms Sabela forms part of Denel’s leadership team which is committed to growth of the organisation and to expanding its operations through the provision of comprehensive defence and technology solutions to its clients,” affirmed the group, in its press release.

She was appointed acting Group CFO in March 2021. She was suspended, as a precautionary measure, “last year”.
