Embraer reports increased aircraft deliveries
Embraer delivered three of its C-390 Millennium multirole airlift aircraft last year.
Brazil-based global major aerospace and defence group Embraer has reported delivering a total of 206 new aircraft in 2024, with 75 of these deliveries occurring in the last quarter.
This represents a 14% increase compared with 2023, which saw 181 aircraft delivered.
The deliveries for the last quarter of last year were 27% higher than the third quarter, and matched the number to deliveries in the last quarter of 2023.
In the commercial aviation sector, Embraer delivered 73 of its smaller single-aisle airliners in 2024, marking a 14% increase compared with the 64 delivered in 2023. Last year’s deliveries included 39 next-generation E195-E2s (the company’s biggest airliner type), eight next-generation E190-E2s and 26 original generation but refined and upgraded E175s.
Airliner deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2024 were up 13% year-on-year, totalling 31 aircraft compared with 25 in the same period in 2023. Fourth-quarter 2024 deliveries comprised 18 E195-E2s, two E190-E2s, and eleven E175s.
In business aviation, Embraer delivered 130 executive jets in 2024, a 13% increase over 2023. These included 75 light jets and 55 medium jets. The light jet segment consisted of 65 Phenom 300s and ten Phenom 100s, while the medium jet deliveries included 28 Praetor 500s and 27 Praetor 600s.
During the last quarter of the year, business jet deliveries reached 44 aircraft, up from 41 deliveries during the same period of 2023. These deliveries were evenly split, with 22 light jets and 22 medium jets. The light jets were subdivided into 19 Phenom 300s and three Phenom 100s. The medium jets were subdivided into 13 Praetor 500s and nine Praetor 600s.
In terms of military aviation, the group delivered three of its C-390 Millennium multirole airlift aircraft. This was also an increase over the deliveries made during 2023, which had totalled two.
No A-29 Super Tucano light attack turboprops were delivered during 2024. However, Embraer announced in December that it had secured orders for 22 Super Tucanos from three countries. Earlier in the year, two South American countries had also placed orders for the type. The identified customers include Paraguay, Uruguay, Portugal, and the Philippines, while an undisclosed African country—a new customer—ordered four aircraft.
